About Camping

Camping on the Original Chisholm Trail

Overnight camping on the trail offers a historic night under the stars on the original 1800s Chisholm Trail! We follow Texas State Parks guidelines to ensure a wonderful primitive camping experience. Full restroom facilities are available near camping sites plus porta-johns. We do not offer shower facilities at this time. Pets are welcome and must be kept on a leash — please clean up after them. A registration form MUST be filled out prior to camping and paperwork must be displayed on the front driver-side dash of your vehicle. Any unauthorized vehicles may be towed at owner's expense.

Fire & Campsite Rules

Campfire cooking is permitted with outdoor grills (charcoal, wood, or propane) provided by campers.

ALL outdoor fire pits MUST be completely extinguished prior to leaving your campsite.

ALL FIRES MUST BE COMPLETELY EXTINGUISHED BEFORE END OF EACH DAY.

All trash MUST be put in receptacles prior to leaving.
